Peachtree is a boutique catering firm on Philadelphia's Main Line.
Serving up creativity and style party-by-party and year-by-year.
Thirty-five years and counting.
For those looking for that combination of sophisticated and down-to-earth, welcome to Peachtree. Ours is a simple and honest approach. We love beautiful style and clean design, nothing too fussy — not service, not food, not us. We're always thinking about the quality of our product — in the ingredients we use, the wines we serve, the attention to detail in our service.
We provide your guests with a fine dining experience equal to that of a restaurant. But the personal touches you bring to the table as host make your event a special one.
We're all about the taste, the touch, the sound, the smell. Our experience is the experience itself. We're picky about the details, the glasses with a ting to them, the flatware with weight in the hand, the smell of the forest in the mushrooms just picked, the bread with a crackling crust.
These things matter. They define us. You can rest easy and assured of our commitment to quality. Which includes the quality of our interaction with you.
It is our pleasure to cook for you. Great food is an important part of any celebration. Our cooking style is all about maximizing flavor and freshness. That means doing all the little things by hand and from scratch, every time, as close to serving as possible. It means concentrating on the brightness, depth, and snap of each bite — never taking the easy road over what tastes best. We are as excited to cook the food we are serving as we hope you will be to eat it.
It takes all 365 days in a year to do the work for your special day. It starts with our growers, ranchers, and suppliers who bring us the best local products at peak condition - grass-fed PA beef, pastured pork and veal, free range chicken and eggs, sustainable seafood, and local produce from organic methods.
Peachtree Catering & Events was founded in 1985 as Peach Street Caterers when owners Jon and Lori Weinrott, trained as chefs in France and working in restaurants in Philadelphia, drove by a corner grocery store on Pechin Street in Roxborough and saw a For Sale sign. The building was charming with its old butcher blocks and canning cupboards, a detached barn/smokehouse, and a wooden walk-in which, back in the day, was cooled with huge blocks of ice.
Jon and Lori's travels in France — working the grape harvest in Chablis, visiting the wholesale food market in Paris at 4 am, making blood sausage at La Côte Saint Jacques, learning to cut shallots at Gerard Pangaud, getting fired from the famous L'Archestrate — are essential experiences in the foundation of the company.
Still family — owned and operated, the company and its extended family of talented individuals on the team hone their craft day in and day out, creating and innovating. Yet Peachtree retains the flavor of its origins in its love of anything French, anything with character and age (most of all fine wines!) and in all things boutique, homespun and personal. They still own the canning cupboards, and can peaches and applesauce every summer and fall. And are on the lookout for the next exciting opportunity around the corner - unexpected, wonderful, delicious.
